LECET adopted our unique Bond Reimbursement program in order to assist newly organized contractors in their efforts to comply with the terms and conditions of the Laborers’ Area-Wide Collective Bargaining Agreement.
The way it works is that LECET will reimburse a newly organized contractor for the cost of obtaining their contractually required bond for wages and fringe benefits. We reimburse the bond premium for the first year of coverage paid by the newly signed contractor up to $1,000 based on rates of $20.00 for every $1,000 of bonding coverage, not to exceed a total bond capacity of $50,000 (or $1,000 in premium).
It’s just one more small way we try to assist our union construction community to make sure we continue to be the best in the business.
